Doug Wright recently helped my new husband and I find our first home just weeks before our wedding. As new buyers and nearly weds we were nervous about the process and timeline. Doug was incredibly helpful through the process. He was available on short notice when we found houses that we wanted to look at. His knowledge in building helped us identify the quality of work done in a home and what  potential changes we could make. The most important thing we loved about Doug was that he was on our side. He took the time to do research, obtain opinions, and make sure we got the house we loved at a price we deserved. He worked very hard to ensure we had the best experience possible. When my wife and I were looking to purchase our first home, we asked around to pick out a realtor, and Doug was recommended by a friend.  After an initial meeting, we decided to use him based on his friendly attitude, knowledge of construction, and confidence that he'd get the job done quickly.  This was important to us, because at that time we only had a couple months till our wedding day and the April deadline for the 2009 tax credit was even closer.  Doug was able to gather all the necessary information about what we were looking for during a sit down, and a day later we had a large list of homes in our area that matched our guidelines.  We were ready to go look at houses just a few days later and Doug was very good about being able to meet us on our erratic schedule over several days.  As we walked through homes, he was very good about pointing out interesting details or worrisome parts that we wouldn't have otherwise noticed.  Within two weeks we had found a home that we really loved and Doug was able to expertly guide us through the offer process based on comparable houses in the neighborhood.  After the offer had gone through, there was an issue on the sellers side that almost made us panic.  Luckily Doug was able to work with the other realtor and we ended up with the house at a better price than we thought possible.  Even after the deal went through, Doug has been available for questions and information - we truly enjoyed working with him.
